Mountain Running World Cup – Riesengebirge-Halbmarathon

The organizers of these events TJ MARATONSTAV ÚPICE are very disappointed. We responded to the „Force Majeure“ that affected the whole world.

We were preparing very carefully the jubilee year of this Mountain Running Cup. The plan was to meet all the organizers with thanks for 35 years of work in the organizing field in Hradec Kralove at the invitation of the Governor Jiří Štěpán and with Closing ceremony in Úpice.
In the last days before the start of the competition, after many inquiries from the organizers and competitors, we definitively canceled this year’s Cup and thus moved the competition to 2021. We did this after the approval and decision of most of the organizers of mountain running races including the management of ČAS and WMRA .

We have been waiting for many years for the Czech Republic to see and host  Mountain Running  World Cup. Thanks to the Regional Authority in Hradec Králové and other partners, we secured the necessary finances and looked forward to the start of the best mountain runners of the planet in Janské Lázně. The allocation of this Cup  was to be a thank you for 35 years of mountain running efforts in the Czech Republic. Preparations have already cost a lot of effort and money, but we humbly decided to cancel this year’s World Cup race in Janské Lázně and ask all interested to move to August 15 or August 22, 2021. We believe that we will be able to move the financial security for next year. If we succeeded in this year’s race, it would be sad, because racers have completely different concerns today and moreover we have to protect some of the biggest spas in the Czech Republic, which will be full of patients at that time.

Our aim was to organize this top event so that the spectators could see the best runners in the world in action and, above all, so that the general domestic running public could “grab” them on the race.

We believe that we will meet and look forward to: 35th Maratonstav Mountain Running Czech Cup 2021 and Mountain Running World Cup 2021 in Janské Lázně.

22nd World Cup Krkonošský Halfmaraton results: ALL | MAN | WOMAN | CATEGORY  

Janské Lázně (Johannesbad) liegt am Fuße des Schwarzen Berges (Černá hora, 1300 M.ü.M.) im östlichen Teil des Reisengebirges und ist ein bekannter Kurort, der auch touristisch sehr attraktiv ist.

Umkleideraum und Dusche: Die Umkleideraum befindet sich im in den Räumen des Gemeindeamtes auf der Kolonnade. Die Duschen und Schwimmbad werden nach dem Rennen an der Bussiness College zur Verfügung stehen.

Unterkunft: Wir können Unterkunft gemass Ihrer Bestellung bis 8.8.2021 Mitternacht mit der Anmeldung und Sicherung CZK 1000,- (Übernachtung mit Frühstück) verschaffen.Der Organisator garantiert eine Unterkunft nach den World Cup Regeln.
